7. Create Companions
- Companion plants may reduce adult and larval pressure.
- Several companion crop show benefits, including oats, buckwheat and berseem clover and, in the case of the latter, can help improve soil structure.
- Sow a week or so ahead of OSR, where moisture is not an issue (particularly clovers).
- Some companion plants may encourage natural enemies.
